I've been TAGGED!!

OK so here goes - I reserve the right to change these anytime I think of something better.

The Rules:

1. Go write 6 weird facts/things/etc. about yourself on your blog, then tag six more people!

2. Then leave a comment that says 'You are tagged' in their comments telling them to read your blog.

About me:

UNO - My Mom and my Grandma were pregnant at the same time. My uncle is one month older than my brother.

DOS - I was born the day before my brother's birthday and my stepdad's is the day after - Jan 15, 16, & 17. (my mom would only make us one cake...)

TRES - I cried the first time I puked from drinking. It was at a Frat party....Sigma Tau Gamma to be exact...Beta Chapter.

CUATRO - When I was in fifth grade, I got 2nd place in the school spelling bee including 5,6,7 & 8th graders. Got beat by an 8th grader. Word mispelled - scissors. (It SOUNDS like zzzzzs!!)

CINCO - I was dating this guy and we had driven out to Lake Somerville when it was flooded. We came to a place on FM 1948 where the water was over the road and we couldn't go any further. We stopped right there and turned the engine off and drank our beer. The frogs and crickets and whatever other critters are out at night making noise were being unbelievably LOUD! I shouted "COOL IT!" at the top of my lungs (ya know like the Happy Days episode where Fonzie is trying to sleep out in the woods and the owls and critters are making noise?). I shit you not, every sound stopped. It was crazy, I tell ya!!

SEIS - Okay, okay....here's number six. I love Miracle Whip on my scrambled eggs and peanut butter and syrup on my pancakes.

I TAG YOU - Boulder, Matzo (I gotta hear his!), Brian, Raffy Baby G and DBD

What I'm Reading....

The Da Vinci Code. Now I've never been one for history of any kind. It bores me....literally to tears. Math, English, science of any kind..love love love. There is some cool history in the book so far. Pretty interesting - I can handle the background if there's a murder involved. I'm not too far so please don't make any comments that may spoil it. Haven't decided if I'm going to see the movie yet.

UPDATE!! Had an eye appt today. Walked into my doc's office and what book should be lying there on her desk? Yep, the DaVinci Code....strange. On a good note, I should now be able to see better driving at night with my kickass new glasses. I had PRK in Aug and she said because of getting monovision correction, my eyes weren't focusing at a distance correctly. I just don't notice it during the day. I'll take having to wear glasses when I drive for being able to see the rest of the time!

Feeilng Strange

So I've been catching up on my sis's blog. She replied a couple times (I freaked her out! ha ha) so hopefully we can become close. It seems she has had some hard times in her life and still going thru tons of emotions and problems. But her words are so insightful. I was reading and thinking "wow, how beautiful she writes". Also very amusing. It makes me feel sad that I did not know her, that I was not there for her growing up, to help guide her, protect her, help her get thru tough times - heck even to party with her. One more reason to hate my father. I don't actually hate him I guess. How can you hate someone you don't even know? I just feel that her life would have been different if I had been a part of it. But then again, maybe not. I guess I just have to focus on the future.

Holy Crap...my sister

So most of you probably don't know much about my childhood. Well, my dad cheated on my mom (which I didn't know until I was grown) and pretty much never paid much attention to us kids at all (me and two brothers). He would pick us up once a year for Christmas to buy us whatever we wanted, but never paid my mom child support after they divorced when I was 9. My brothers were a little closer and my oldest brother still sees him but I have not seen him or spoken to him since my brother's wedding in 1988. He said to me that day "maybe when I die, you'll come to my funeral"....wtf? I was a child. You never made an effort to see me but when I was an adult I was supposed to? My mom gave us a wonderful childhood even though we never had much money. Then she married a neighbor I had known my whole life and I had (still have) the most wonderful stepfather on the earth, along with 2 cool step brothers that I had grown up with. Anyway, my dad met this other woman and started living with her. She was pretty nice to us...I always liked her. She had a baby 20 years ago. I saw my sister a few times when she was a baby then I moved away to college and have not seen any of them since. My grandmother kept me up to date with her life a little bit and I would see pics of her in the paper or from my grandmother. So I was cruising the high school grads a while ago and who should I find but my sister! I just sent her a message. I had always planned on getting in touch with her when she left home. I can't believe it has finally happened. I'm pretty nervous but also very excited to see what kind of person she has become.

Off to Houston!!

So Slut and Fire Tunnel have convinced me I cannot miss the Houston campout so that's where I be this weekend. On a concerned note, I jammed my wrist playing volleyball (trying to dig a ball and it popped my wrist) so I am injured. And it is my drinking hand! What to do? The more I drink, the better it will feel, right? That reminds me of one of my favorite shirts from a Dallas campout..."the more i drink, the more i drink" - that is just too true!!

Happy weekend my cheeky little monkey bloggers...Spotty loves ya!

Bluebonnet Hash 2006

Bluebonnet Hash pics

We had so much fun! Man I really enjoy these little hashes. We had 30 peeps - awesome trail with beautiful scenery, fun fun circle, and delicious dinner.

Brisket was falling apart and mighty tasty! Good pasta salad and beans. A couple people went to camp at Nipperwood and a few of us headed to Henry's Hideout. Then back to Brenham and a stop at M&M lounge. Home by 11pm and in bed....when is the last time I was in bed on a Sat night before midnight? Thanks to Letch again and all your co-conspirators for a great hash!

Texas Interhash Saturday

Saturday pics are here

What to say about Saturday? I wanked trail yet again to lay on the stage half nekkid with a round of peeps...Trojan, Pinball, TuckIt, Glow Worm...others I don't remember. What a nice cozy day until I ran out of alcohol. Guess I'll start on the Mudslide...
yummy. Trail people came in and by that time (2,3 hours?) I was cooking. Headed to the water with UTA, LHP, and some others to bathe in the cool water. OK I can handle water, even cold water but when someone dunks you all the way under when you are not expecting it, be prepared for loud piercing screams. I swear it sounded like someone was being murdered. Man, that was cold! But it did cool me off and cleaned me up. LHP and I did some naked rock wrestling. Then off to change for circle and dinner. Awesome BBQ which I heartily enjoyed along with some short long awaited conversation that was interrupted by "the drama". Then off to console dramaeee after a cool off period. "wet spot make things all better....." Then the band began to play and play and we danced! (oops sorry, had a Hooters moment).

Skits (Rainblo and TuckIt did this one just for me - I know it!), Mr & Mrs. Interhash (wet spot lost once again after being coerced onto the stage...I didn't wanna go!! But how many of you can do a back bend and pull yourself back up, drunk even! Good shot by Dildo also...I think Tuck it enjoyed that talent!). Congrats To the winners. Then a little silly crying by LHP and me (we are such girls!!) and more dancing. There must have been a hopping bean in my BBQ because all i remember doing was jumping around. Can that really be considered dancing? Thanks to PP for some great dancing and some not so great jitterbug...although it was fun trying! Lots of laughing when two people suck at a dance.

Here's a cool pic of Strap On Elvis (ya'll ask me how to get that cool effect - special shutter tricks - ha ha). I think this was right before the nekkid trail. Oh yeah, nekkid trail. We had about 20 faithful hounds who put on the glowy sticks and joined Trojan and I on trail. Did I mention it was cold?? brrr...thanks for keeping me warm on trail, you know who. Straight up the hill, straight back down the hill and into clothes. Brrr...that sucked! A quick circle as we awarded Mr. & Mrs. Nude (Puerto Rican Jew & Hippy Swallow - congrats!). Then several of us found a warm RV to play 3 man in. That's the way to camp, I tell ya! I spent several hours in there warming up - people came in, people went out. Even had Brian from the band. He didn't go out so well - fell out of the RV when he was leaving...oops, I think he's had a bit to drink. Then to bed for me. At least this night was not as cold as Friday. 40 as opposed to 30 I think. Thanks to my snuggle buddy....I would not have survived.

Friday of TXIH 2006

Friday pics from TXIH

Wow, I don't remember much from Friday. Met two cars on the road...AG and her crew and Anal Plug and the Mosquito crew.

On in to set up camp (thanks Chief for the haul up the hill!! gonna miss you baby!) and drink (DBD's first experience in setting up a tent - thanks for the help!). Played a little three man with the big spongy dice. Then circle (first TXIH trail I wanked) and more drinking. Those that know Rollin know he loves to talk so he experienced the flask of doom of course. Man, I don't mind it so much when you cannot see what is in the bottle but that clear bottle was scary!

Then some dinner I did not eat (sorry, my nose would have made my tummy puke if I smelled that upclose - I heard it tasted delish!) and lots of karaoke. I don't remember what I sang or who with (I think "I will survive" and "summer lovin") but I know I was up there alot.

The rest of the night was a blur but I know I did some tent hopping and ended up in one that was supposed to be heated but the wank used the heat earlier taking a nap. Instant sober...add freezing weather.

on on to Sat.....
