Christmas in July Hash and 100th Post!

Merry Christmas! I hope some of you will join us in the quaint little town of Brenham for our Christmas party this Saturday, July 29th.

Woo hoo...this is post number 100! Only took 6 months!

Girls are major Bee..atchezzz!!!

No none of my blogger girls. As a matter of fact, I've met some pretty terrific chicks everywhere I've been and lived. Except this town. I've lived here for 15 years and the girls here are nasty, evil, untrustworthy C U Next Thursday S....... I have been trying to avoid this girl who is a friend to my face but doing things behind my back (long story but it involves a guy!). I finally decided to email her and tell her I did not want to be her friend because of certain things she had done. It was not a vicious email, in fact it was quite nice. She sent me a nasty email back saying she didn't give a damn what I thought (then why you wanna be my friend??) and to stay out of her face. Huh? That's what I've been trying to do! ha ha. Other nasty words were used so of course i had to send her a pity reply. "so sorry you feel the need to use such harsh words. My intent was not to hurt you but obviously you are"...boo hoo pity you. You ever wanna get back at someone, kill them with kindness. The bigger person you are makes them look ever so small. Thank G I have matured a bit over the years. I guess I still felt the need to vent about - that's what my blog is for, right?

I'm gonna be a KJ!

Tomorrow night, Gymno and I are going to learn how to run the karaoke system at BAR (Bottles & Racks) in Brenham. Should be pretty easy and we have some cool stuff planned...like props for the singers to wear and everyone who sings, gets "lei'd". I'm torn in my decision to do this because the owner has been a jerk to several people lately and doesn't really deserve the help. But I like the bar and I know we could do a good job and make it fun.

If anyone is looking to invest some money and open a bar somewhere, Brenham is your place. We have two bars in town and at least 200 drinkers on an average night. The two bars we have now both have their problems.....

Ode to smurfs

Man I love the smurfs. I had a cool smurf T-shirt when I was young. Actually roller skated in a parade with my best friend in matching shorts and shirts. We were cool...ha! Papa Smurf, Handy Smurf, Painter Smurf, Brainy Smurf, the only chick Smurfette, and Ranger Smurf. Oh wait, that last one is a hasher. Here's some interesting reading about how smurfs may be communists.
